Name the device clearly
Use a recognizable label and the public key for that specific device. Sharing a private profile across unrelated devices makes ownership and revocation harder to manage.
Apply the real configuration
A BiTTU device request is an operator workflow record. The gateway peer must still be added to the running WireGuard configuration with appropriate allowed IPs and routes.
Handle device changes deliberately
When a device is replaced, lost or no longer authorized, update the actual gateway peer and any applicable configuration. Cancelling a request in the website does not automatically revoke a running peer.
